Treze13 falls into Tawamba's trap
You might wonder why Tawamba hasn't better chess rating in Lichess app ? Among many other reasons like lack of theoretical knowledge it's because he makes blunders very often. This game was one of those, but ended up in very effective win with far less material on the board. I saw nice combination in the last moment just like Llorente, Dele Alli and Lucas did in that Amsterdam game. :) This is not my favorite opening. In fact I don't know which moves are right after d4 d5 and that Queen gambit Because of that I responded with "beef gambit" like last time with f4 move. Massive exchange of pawns happen soon after with one unpleasant check which I noticed in advance and knew how to cover from it with light Bishop. Ops it looks I will end up one pawn short after all of this! He initiated Queen exchange and my King was forced to make a move and was unable to go into the castle. That's not good. Things went from bad to worse with his Knight in the center threatening double attack on King and Rook. I thought how to save Bishop and didn't notice that obvious move and made wrong stupid to fast move with Bishop to b5. Bang! He checked me and my Rook has gone. Fortunately I managed to eliminate this Knight with King soon after. That costed me doubling pawns on g line. He went somewhere with King and I saw one combination which could work and save the day.I checked him with Knight. he moved left to receive another check. He can't go right now. He decided to moveto g5 and that cost him the game. I removed his f pawn attacking Rook and after move of Rook I eliminated e pawn too checking him again. He continued moving down toward my King and eliminated g6 Pawn but that was big mistake. He entered into the trap and Llorente passed ball to Dele Alli with Rook on f6, he was forced to go on h5 ball came to Lucas and he shoots with Rook on h6 and checkmate! What a sensational way to lose already won game. LoL! I managed to win this game, but that poor Rook give away and poor opening rise many questions. You can watch entire match here: https://lichess.org/IPhP793ew3r5 This was match between mid 1800 lichess rating players. I know it's amateur chess but you must admit it was effective ending. Opponent obviously didn't read scorum blog and didn't know he can't relax vs Tawamba because that's when Tawamba is the most dangerous. If you feel you are better you can register on Lichess and try to play to see where will this bring you. Lichess main developer is big supporter of Free/Libre Software and by playing his app you can show support for such software too.
